Improved safety and facilities at an established place of worship

The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church is bringing forward proposals to replace its existing Gospel Hall at Debden Green.

The building has been used as a Gospel Hall since 2012, following its conversion from agricultural use. Over more than a decade, it has served the congregation well. However, the layout of the building and surrounding site no longer provides the level of safety, accessibility and facilities expected of a modern place of worship.

In response, the Church is proposing a new, purpose-built Gospel Hall on the same site. The proposals focus on improving safety and facilities while retaining the established use of the site.

Ahead of submitting a planning application to Uttlesford District Council, we are seeking feedback from local residents and stakeholders.

A public consultation has been launched to give local residents and businesses the opportunity to view the proposals and share their comments.

Feedback from the local community is very important to the Church and all comments received during the consultation will be carefully reviewed by the project team.

Details on how to submit comments can be found on the Your Feedback page.

A webinar presentation will also be held on the 29th April at 6pm as part of the consultation period, where members of the project team will present the proposals and answer questions.
