The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church is a Christian fellowship driven by care and compassion.
Members of the Church have lived and worked in the UK for nearly 200 years and are committed to serving the communities where they live and work through charitable activity.
Embedded in the local community
Members of the Church have lived and worked in Uttlesford for many decades and are part of the local community.
The Church has an established record of supporting local organisations and initiatives through the Rapid Relief Team, a charity made up of volunteers from the Church.
Recent local activity includes:
- Supporting training exercises at Carver Barracks, including events involving local schools
- Assisting with operations and mock emergency exercises at Stansted Airport
- Supporting Debden Parish Council initiatives, including local litter picks
- Providing meals at community and emergency service events
- Donating food and essential supplies to Uttlesford Foodbank
The replacement Gospel Hall would provide improved facilities from which the congregation can continue worship and coordinate charitable activity within Uttlesford and the surrounding area.
We have been impressed, not only by the contents of the boxes provided, which align with our own parcels, but also the literature and guidance included in each box. The team has been so supportive of the food bank, especially in these times of hardship.
